Ref: MIXPIG. Pigs are well known to be quite destructive in their grazing habits, and tend to graze from the ground up. Shorter term, cheaper mixes are preferred which are affordable, grow quickly and provide ample forage. Ref: MIXPP. Research suggests that ryegrass increases risk of laminitis so by avoiding ryegrass this mix of traditional grasses and herbs pasture offers forage rich in nutrients but not in sugars. Ref: MIX12. A tough, well proven mixture which provides a dense and resilient turf for hens. The seeds should be sown in to a warm seedbed. Therefore very early spring or late autumn sowing should be avoided.
