Summer Early Graze

Ref: mixseg

An alternative to the Early Fold Root Mix above. This mix is great for sowing in May & June and being ready to graze in late summer or early autumn. The inclusion of a leafy turnip means this mix can be ready to graze in 6-8 weeks, rather than waiting for a bulbing Turnip to fully develop. It's also a useful break crop when going from a grass to grass reseed. NOT SUITABLE FOR ORGANIC TREATED SEED

Brassica

Stubble Turnip

One of the most popular short term forage crops in the UK. Stubble turnips are quick to establish with a good level of protein, making them ideal to fatten livestock, especially lambs over the winter. Different varieties are available, from white fleshed round bulbs to pink and white coloured tankard shaped bulbs. The small seed and low sowing rate make them a very economical way of feeding livestock.
