Yellow Rattle

Now is the time to sow Yellow Rattle! This annual wildflower is a key species in wildflower meadows. It acts as a parasitic plant, latching onto the roots of grasses thereby reducing their dominance over time. Yellow Rattle needs to go through a winter or ‘cold snap’ before it will germinate, a process known as vernalization. Click the link below to find out more:
