Ox-eye Daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare) wildflower

Ref: OXEYE

This traditional looking daisy is a medium height species reaching 40 cm - 1 m and flowering throughout June, July and August. The petal-plucking game 'He loves me; he loves me not' is thought to have started with the Ox-eye Daisy, and is now a common children's activity. The oxeye daisy was dedicated by the Greeks to Artemis, goddess of the moon.
