A medium height perennial, with much bluer flowers than most from the Cranesbill family. It grows from 30-80cm.

Distinguishing characteristics
Seed
A dull brown oblong seed, measuring about 2-3mm in length.
Vegetative State
The lowest leaves are deeply lobed and have long reddish coloured stalks. Leaves on the upper stems are smaller and almost unstalked.
Flowering Plant
The flower mature to a blue or purple colour, with long reddish sepals.
Additional Info
Flowers June-September. Often setting seed late in July, which can reduce the likelhood of reproduction from seed in heavy mowing regaimes.
