Carbon Calling Pop-up Event on Herbal Leys - 6th October

In this face-to-face, walk and talk event Helen Mathieu of Germinal, Francis Dunne of Field Options and Sam Lane and Ian Wilkinson from Cotswold Seeds will be discussing mixture selection, establishment and management of herbal leys.

Sleastonhow is the site of the 2022 Carbon Calling conference and Tim Nicolson drilled thirteen different herbal ley mixtures in 2020, so there will be an opportunity to look at a range of mixtures side by side. Raymond Colbear has been grazing it with his sheep since 2020.

 The event will be facilitated by Liz Genever and Nic Renison of Carbon Calling, covering:

• Helen, Francis, Sam and Ian’s experiences of working with a range of farmers drilling and managing herbal leys.
• Tim’s experience of drilling a range of mixtures
• Raymond’s experience of grazing the mixtures with sheep
• Any questions you want answered!
