Weed Control in Game Cover Crops

Weed control is one of the biggest challenges when it comes to establishment and management of game cover and wild bird seed mixtures.  These diverse mixes often contain species which would usually be affected by broadleaved weed-killers.

Alex Nichols from Dow AgroSciences escorts us through game cover trials that were carried out near Wellesbourne in Warwickshire.  The purpose of the trials was to test various weed controls being produced by Dow in response to the difficult problem of controlling weeds within game cover crops such as Millet, Sunflower and Sorghum.

Dow AgroSciences produced a useful guide to show the chemicals they produce for weed control in various game cover crops.
