We recently welcomed an incredible group of scientists and researchers from the LegumeLegacy project for a special satellite training day at FarmED.
Participants from across Europe, and Canada, took the opportunity to visit FarmED for a day of knowledge sharing alongside the EGF (European Grassland Federation) event in Reading.
The morning saw a lively round of ‘elevator pitches’. These were five minute presentations to a mixed audience of peers and partners including FarmED staff, Science Lead Dr Lydia Smith, Trials Scientist Jed Solieman, Cotswold Seeds Group Director Paul Totterdell and Cotswold Seeds Technical Director Sam Lane.
After a hearty lunch, the group joined Founder Ian Wilkinson for a Farm Walk, exploring FarmED’s regenerative systems and current research trials.
The day concluded with Dr Lydia Smith commenting on NIAB as well as a deeper dive into CHCx3’s research into Herbal Leys and Trials Scientist Jed Solieman’s ongoing PhD work.
A brilliant day of learning, collaboration, and inspiration.
Thank you to everyone involved.
