We are excited to be a part in the Pollinator Survey this year which will be taking place on Open Farm Sunday. This is a scientific survey to access insects like bees, wasps, hover flies and butterflies, which are critical in the growth of 80% of British plant types.

 The public will be encouraged to help the scientist’s record the insects found in both field margins and crop plots. This will give us a snap shot of insect life across the country, which in recent years has become a very topical issue for the health of our countryside and farmed environments.

 We hope you can help in the survey if you are attending an Open Farm Sunday event, so we can further our knowledge on these very important insects.
