Post Sheep Show

The Cotswold Seeds team were at the NSA’s annual Sheep Event at the Three Counties Showground yesterday. We were giving hourly overseeding demonstrations with the Aitchison seed drill we purchased for Honeydale Farm, explaining how overseeding is a cheap, simple and effective way to rejuvenate tired grassland and make it more productive. Ian and Sam also lead a morning and afternoon workshop session on the same subject, which went down well, with standing room only. Warehouseman Macca was there with his Dad and some of his Sands Texel Sheep which also attracted much attention. The sun shone, we talked to lots of farmers, many of whom are old friends, having been buying seed from us for years.

Thanks to our Event Manager Lizzie Arnold for putting it all together. Normally she’d be the first person to pick up the phone when customers ring up to place orders for seeds, so it was especially nice for her to meet so many people face-to-face.
