A deep blue/purple bell shaped flower which is in bloom during April and May. Often found inhedge-banks and woodland where they can form a distinctive blue carpet. The distinct colour tones attract bees and provide a vital source of nectar.Bluebells are a part of the asparagus family and are unique to the Atlantic seaboard of Europe.
