Plant green manures in April to 'Sort Out Your Soil'

April is the ideal time to plant both long and short term green manure crops.

The shorter term green manure crops such as mustard, sweet clover and red clover all boost soil fertility and health over the summer in between cash crops. Whereas longer term mixtures, such as Humus Builder with its deep root system, are ideal for boosting dry or light land over the summer and following years, adding essential N and organic matter to the soil.
